The Board of Directors are a dynamic group of leaders and key decision-makers, who are responsible for making the best decisions for the good of the institution. The Board is supported by a larger executive committee who then work closely with the core management teams to achieve the goals as per the vision and mission of Descon Technical Institute.
Abdul Razak Dawood
Abdul Razak Dawood is the Founder and former Chairman of Descon, which is involved in Engineering, Chemicals and Power businesses.
Born in Karachi, Bilquis Dawood completed her education from Home Economics, Karachi. She is on the Board of Descon Technical Institute (DTI) and Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood (BARD) Foundation.
Mr. Taimur Dawood currently serves as Chairman of Descon; which includes Descon Engineering Ltd, Descon Oxychem Limited and Descon Power Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd among other Descon entities for the power sector. He is also the Managing Director of Gray Mackenzie Engineering Services BV, the Netherlands.
Faisal Dawood is the Vice Chairman of Descon. He is also a member of the various Descon companies’ Board of Directors, along with DTI. Since joining Descon in 2000, Faisal has served in a variety of engineering and chemicals management positions and executive management positions around the world.
Mehreen Dawood is a (B Sc). She runs a furniture business, manufacturing semi-classic designs furniture for high-end segments.She is on the Board of Descon Engineering Limited and Descon Oxychem Limited. She also has investments in various Descon Companies
Ijaz Ali Khan
Ijaz Ali Khan is an engineer by education and an experience of four decades working in various functions of the large oil companies internationally. He has served over twenty three years in Aramco Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and fifteen years at Shell at various professional and managerial positions.
Mr. Sohail has an M.Com from the University of Punjab, Lahore and has been with Descon for almost 2 decades. As President Corporate & Legal Affairs, he is responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization’s legal aspects,
