"Descon Technical Institute’s vision is to enable young men and women from the underprivileged sectors of our society to make a decent living. We want to give them hope, enable them to fulfil their dreams and further build their aspirations. Our mission is skills for livelihood. Our aim is to develop the skills that our industry lacks. The country has millions of young people who do not have opportunities to build their skills. We have an industry that suffers because of a lack of skills. Herein lies our goal; bridging that gap. In addition to helping our society and country, we want to enable our people to be able to go and seek the opportunities that are available in the Middle East, if they so choose.
Nevertheless, we need to concentrate on productivity and quality to be competitive internationally and this can only be possible if our workforce understands the requirements. That is what we emphasize. This model is successful due to the hours spent to build an error free and rigorous curriculum to fit the market’s demand. We have the right faculty to teach and demonstrate the agreed curriculum. With the type of facility we have, our students are kept busy throughout the day, unlike other institutions. Due to our experience in the industry, we know what the industry requires, so as a result, along with hard skills, DTI teaches soft skills and work ethics, to develop all-rounded professional capabilities for our students."
